Every person who got vaccinated must take the booster shot of covid-19, 8 months after their second dose whereas the delta variant is spread wildly nowadays. Federal health officials are considering the third dose as a booster ever since the rising case numbers in America before winter comes.

Ever since the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) gave authorization, booster shots were given in many countries. Last week, US officials recommended boosters for some with weakened immune systems.

The first ones to receive the boosters could be healthcare workers, nursing home residents and, other elder Americans, who were among the first Americans to be vaccinated last December.

Last week the White House chief medical adviser, Dr. Anthony Fauci, said booster shots would likely be necessary as scientists were already seeing “some diminution” in the durability of immunity. There is a concern that the vaccine may start to wane in its effectiveness,” Collins said.

“And Delta is a nasty one for us to try to deal with. The combination of those two means we may need boosters, maybe beginning first with healthcare providers, as well as people in nursing homes, and then gradually moving forward” with others, such as older Americans who were among the first to get vaccinations.

The scientists are still discussing whether it’s necessary to take a booster shot or not.
