What Are The Different Types Of Nose Surgery?

Rhinoplasty is a cosmetic procedure used to change the shape and appearance of a person's nose. These operations are done after injuries, for correcting congenital conditions, Birth defects or just to make a better harmony between the nose and other parts of the face. There are five types of nose treatments four of them are surgical and the other one is nonsurgical rhinoplasty.
These treatments include closed rhinoplasty, open rhinoplasty, septorhinoplasty, and rhino-tip surgery, and the nonsurgical one, the quick, temporary liquid rhinoplasty.

Closed Rhinoplasty :
The most common type of rhinoplasty is closed rhinoplasty. There are no external scars because all of the incisions are inside the nose.
Soft tissue is lifted upward and a plastic or aesthetic surgeon has access to nose bone and cartilage. Advantages of closed rhinoplasty are reduced nasal tissue irritation, less detectable scarring, shorter operating times, and faster recovery.

Open Rhinoplasty :
In comparison with closed rhinoplasty, it is more invasive and is used for patients who need more extensive nose contouring or nose reduction. Incisions will be made in columella, which is the skin between your nostrils beneath your nose. During this procedure, the surgeon has more access inside the nasal cavity. Open rhinoplasty needs more incisions and more sutures. After that, they fix the nose with a splint which is removed after one week. Open rhinoplasty is the perfect method for patients with issues such as genetic or structural deformities (congenital problems), trauma to the nose requiring grafting, and unsatisfactory results from a previous nose job.

Types of Rhinoplasty

Septo-Rhinoplasty :
It is called Septoplasty and it's common to improve the way patients breathe through their nose. Septum includes cartilage and bone inside the nose which divides the nostrils. This procedure is done for patients who suffer from a deviated septum. A plastic or aesthetic surgeon makes an incision during Septoplasty in the mucosa (the lining inside your nose) and lifts it off the bone and cartilage to remove any parts that are bent, position them into a straight place. You can ask to have no change in your nose appearance. This may improve the way you breathe.

Rhino-tip Surgery :
This method is used to change the shape of the nose by modifying the structure of the underlying cartilage. The procedure is mostly done from the inside of the nose and it minimizes the scarring. Typical conditions include a big or crooked nose tip, flared nostrils, or a hooked tip.

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty :
This cosmetic procedure refers to a dermal filler procedure that tries to change the shape of your nose at least for six months. This is called a “liquid nose job” or “15-minute nose job.” These procedures are good for patients who want to smooth out bumps in their nose or look less angular. One group of candidates are patients who are worried about the risks and recovery time involved in a traditional Rhinoplasty. The needle is less complicated than a knife so they prefer a nonsurgical nose job.
