Breast Lift , Mastopexy , is a choice in female patients whose skin is not strong or resilient enough to support the weight of their breast, causing the breasts to have sagged. With this situation, called ptosis, there is too much skin compared to breast tissue. To give the breast a lift, the excess skin might be removed. There are several surgical techniques utilized such as :

a Wise pattern in which the incision, in the shape of an anchor, goes around the chest and below the breast.

a Le-Jour in which the incision goes around the areola and down.

and a Donut or peri-areolar that the incision goes around the areola only.

The patient's reaction to the surgery differs, but patients are usually hospitalized between 1-3 days. many patients can back to work and normal life after 7-12 days when the sutures are removed. patients may experience temporary bruising and a bit of edema after 2 weeks. be careful about exercising for up to 6 weeks. This surgical procedure entails a few weeks of recovery because it doesn't involve muscles.
Some complications after surgery include infection, bleeding numbness in the surgical site, reaction to anesthesia material, cardiac problems, pulmonary complications, unexpected shape results like asymmetry, fat necrosis, deep vein thrombosis. although it's rare, it should be mentioned for the patient.
After the surgery, the surgeon will advise you to follow some instructions in order to alleviate complications after surgery. remember not to smoke a week before and after surgery. stop using aspirin, herbal drugs, and anti-inflammatory drugs before surgery.
It should be considered that patients who are not physically healthy, patients who smoke, have heart, lung, and have blood disorders, pregnant patients, are at high risk for this breast lift surgery. Remember that if you have a pregnancy plan in the future, you should postpone this surgery because it may alter after pregnancy.
