It is better to have someone accompany you from the hospital to home and stay with you for a day.

After the surgery, the surgeon will prescribe you to use oral antibiotics for 2 days. Oral stitches are absorbable; therefore, you won’t have to return to the hospital to get them eliminated. You will start eating normally as soon as you feel you are ready. Soft food or liquids is recommended. You must rinse your mouth with antiseptic oral rinse or water after every meal of the day.

1.fever of 100.4˚F (38˚C) degrees or even higher

2.bruising, swelling, or redness that does not fade away within one week

3.green or yellow discharge

4.bleeding that cannot be controlled by light pressure

5.strong-smelling odor caused by the incision
